1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following words have the meanings set out below:

• "Rumahwise", "we", "us", "our" refers to the organisation operating under that name, registered and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• "Programme" refers to any course, session, or consulting engagement offered by Rumahwise.
• "Participant" refers to any individual or organisation that enquires about, enrols in, or attends a Programme.
• "Content" refers to all materials produced and distributed by Rumahwise, including printed workbooks, templates, checklists, and digital materials.
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any specific engagement letter or enrolment confirmation.
• "Website" refers to the Rumahwise website at https://rumahwis.blog

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Website or enquiring about, registering for, or attending a Programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or participate in our Programmes.

Our Programmes are intended for adults aged 18 and over. By participating, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.

Where a Programme is attended on behalf of an organisation, the individual completing enrolment confirms they have authority to bind the organisation to these Terms.

3. Service Description

Rumahwise provides household records education and family documentation programmes. These are educational and organisational in nature. All content is general and is not personalised advice of any kind.

Programmes currently offered include: the Administrative Year Planning Session, the Guardianship and Care Records Course, and Corporate Family Transition Process Consulting. Availability and scheduling are subject to change.

Our Programmes are available to individuals and organisations in Malaysia. Delivery is in Kuala Lumpur unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Participant Responsibilities

As a Participant, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when enquiring or registering
• Attend sessions punctually where applicable
• Use Content for your own personal or organisational administrative purposes only
• Not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit Content without prior written permission from Rumahwise
• Treat other participants and facilitators with respect

You agree not to misrepresent the nature of Rumahwise's services to third parties, including by describing programme content as professional advice.

5. Intellectual Property

All Content produced by Rumahwise, including workbooks, templates, checklists, and website materials, is the intellectual property of Rumahwise unless otherwise indicated.

Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Content for their own household or organisational administrative purposes. This licence does not permit reproduction, redistribution, or adaptation of Content for commercial purposes.

The Rumahwise name and any associated marks are the property of Rumahwise. You may not use them without prior written consent.

6. Payment Terms

Fees for Programmes are as published on our website and confirmed in writing at the time of enrolment. All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.

Payment is due in full before the start of the Programme unless otherwise agreed in writing. For corporate engagements, payment terms are set out in the engagement letter.

Cancellation and refunds: If you cancel your enrolment at least five working days before the start of a Programme, we will transfer your place to the next available intake at no additional cost. Cancellations made with fewer than five working days notice are non-refundable, though the place may be transferred to another person in your household or organisation. If Rumahwise cancels a session, a full refund or transfer will be offered.

Accepted payment methods are communicated at the time of enrolment confirmation.

7. Programme-Specific Terms

Administrative Year Planning Session: This is a single two-hour session. Private bookings are available for households of up to four adults. The session covers organisational planning only and does not address the legal or regulatory meaning of any documents discussed.

Guardianship and Care Records Course: This is a seven-week programme delivered in weekly ninety-minute sessions. Participants are expected to attend all sessions. Materials from missed sessions may be provided on request but are not a substitute for attendance. Completion of the programme does not confer a qualification or certificate.

Corporate Family Transition Consulting: The scope, deliverables, timeline, and fee for each corporate engagement are agreed in a written engagement letter before work begins. The engagement letter governs in the event of any conflict with these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

All Programmes and Content are provided for general educational and organisational purposes. Nothing provided by Rumahwise constitutes legal, financial, medical, or personal advice. Participants should seek appropriately qualified professional advice for questions of that nature.

Rumahwise makes reasonable efforts to ensure that Content is accurate and drawn from publicly available Malaysian administrative schedules, but we do not warrant that it is complete or free from error. Participants are responsible for verifying information independently before acting on it.

The Website is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Rumahwise's total liability to any Participant for any claim arising from or in connection with a Programme shall not exceed the fee paid by that Participant for the Programme in question.

Rumahwise shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from participation in a Programme or use of Content, including loss arising from reliance on Content without seeking qualified professional advice.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Rumahwise against any claims, losses, or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or from your misuse of Content, including any claims arising from your representation to third parties that programme content constitutes professional advice.

11. Termination

Rumahwise reserves the right to exclude any Participant from a Programme where their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with these Terms. In such cases, fees will not be refunded.

Participants may withdraw from a Programme subject to the cancellation terms in Section 6. Withdrawal does not affect any obligations that arose prior to withdrawal.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to informal discussion between the parties. If not resolved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to a competent court in Kuala Lumpur, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief.

13. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with any engagement letter or enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to a Programme.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: Participants may not assign their rights under these Terms without prior written consent from Rumahwise.
• Notices: Formal notices under these Terms should be sent to [email protected] or to the address below.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where changes are material, we will notify enrolled Participants by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued participation in a Programme after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
